Bicycle Touring in Southeastern Connecticut

The Green Route on the map highlights a beautiful 17 mile ride that begins at Beebe Cove across from the Mystic Harbor and Six Penny Island.

The route travels along the Mystic River and into rolling hills with beautiful farmland and pastures.

Take a step back in time at the "Somewhere in Time" cafe for a delicious lunch and refreshments.

Then head back into town and finish up with an ice cream cone from the Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream Shop.

The Blue Route extends the ride for an additional 10 miles into the quaint downtown Stonington Borough.

Take a walk along the shoreline and visit the Old Lighthouse Museum. If you are there on a Saturday, you can stop for fresh vegetables and fruit at the local Farmer's Market.

For a more ambitious ride, continue on the Gold Route and extend your trip another 6 miles with a ride to the Barn Island Wildlife Management Area. You can walk the nature trails and enjoy a picnic near the ocean.
