Jane Prophet

Jane Prophet is a British artist working with video and digital media. After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 1987, where she studied Fine Art, she went on to complete an MA in Electronic Graphics at Coventry University. Her interest in digital systems and artists' use of computer imaging became the focus of a Ph.D. at Warwick University. She is a senior researcher in digital media at the University of Westminster, London and teaches at the Slade School of Art, University College London. Her recent art pieces and writing focus on interactive narrative and the cyborg body. She makes web sites, CD-ROMs and large scale interactive installations.
Jane is one of the originators of the award winning artificial life project TechnoSphere.
