Breach by a Broken Lens directly compares the eyes of a human and an animal. Eyes are a portal into the emotions of an individual and
alike colour composition of the iris’ unifies the two species. I display that the emotions we both have are more similar than we assume.
The use of textural variety and sense of realism emphasise my focal points, providing a deeper analysis of the inequity I aim to communicate.
Ode to Vermeer is an appropriation of Johannes Vermeer’s, Girl with a Pearl Earring.
The replacement of the figure with a brown cow, draws a parallel with humans and animals and the emotions they share.
These emotions that the cow portrays - fear and vulnerability - is inspired by the facial and body language of the figure in Vermeer’s piece.
As an animal rights activist, this artistic choice comments on the dominance of commercial farming and how they conceal
and ignore the fear they cause these animals.
The cow tag in place of the pearl earring highlights the mysteriousness associated with the girl in Vermeer’s
painting. demonstrates It demonstrates how one is identified without knowing or recognising the unique trait that makes them, them.
The separate pieces showed all the qualities that differ between reality and dreams and how we personally feel they relate to eachother
and what significance they have in our dreams and subconscious.
From the side you see layers of the minds that made up this model. Each has its own depth, own perspective and own strengths.
From the top you see a network, combined dream states making up an array of subconscious'.

Sentient is an intelligent, dynamic piece of furniture designed for big-living on micro lands and the optimisation of vertical space.
It first hangs as spiralled light shade and can transform down to the floor to take the form of a comfortable and warm seating pod when
the space to relax is desired. With every light shade, comes a memory foam rounded cushion, lined with customisable linen, that Sentient
wraps around to complete the comfortable pod. >
It is essential in finding alternative ways of utilising space in a home as we move forward in the future and slowly have to start building
along our vertical plane, rather than our horizontal plane as this is limited. It provides one with the comfort of having space to move as well
as a place to relax when needed. It is a reliable technology for the future of our living.
Sentient uses a technological system called ‘MALA’ that is a clear sheet attached to the Lasperply Beech that controls the form the sheet takes.
